Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rilo Maerte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pekka Pouta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rilo Maerte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pekka Pouta!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pouta looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pouta is trying to work for a kimura but Maerte is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pouta stops Maerte from getting back to his feet.
Maerte knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pouta on the ground.
Maerte has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pouta is working away from the top position though.
Pouta seems to be working for a kimura but Maerte defends the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pouta throwing shots but Maerte is blocking nicely.
Pouta tries to pass to full mount but Maerte defends it.

Pouta slows the pace down in half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Maerte is trying to maintain the position but Pouta is very close to passing his half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pouta in particular looking to stall.
Maerte might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maerte is looking to improve his position.
Pouta seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Maerte could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pouta missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pouta stands up out of the half guard.
Pouta shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pouta showed some decent athleticism there.
Pouta wants to free his trapped foot but Maerte is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pekka Pouta dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Maerte lands a big head kick that sends Pouta tumbling to the mat! Maerte takes a step backwards and waves Pouta back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Pouta is rocked!
It looks like Pekka Pouta has been cut.
Pouta swats away the attempt to clinch by Maerte.
Pouta is still on wobbly legs! Can Maerte finish him?
Pouta shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maerte's guard.
Pouta passes into half guard.
Pouta seems to have recovered his senses.
Pouta content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Pouta passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Maerte!

Pouta lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Maerte hang on?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Maerte wants to hold on but Pouta pushes him away.
Pouta controlling his opponent.
Pouta is landing with some decent strikes but Maerte is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Pouta gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Maerte misses with a wild combination.
Pouta shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Maerte is trying to defend but Pouta finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Pouta winds up and cracks Maerte with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pouta is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Pouta decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Pouta.
Pouta moves into full mount!
Pouta sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pouta's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Maerte has left one of his arms exposed and Pouta doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Maerte screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Pekka Pouta!
