Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronnie Lott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronnie Lott is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tiger Steele! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ronnie Lott! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steele tries to clinch up but Lott circles away and keeps his distance. Lott shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Steele manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Steele had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lott defends it easily. Lott decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Steele, up you get! Lott throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Steele was covering up waiting for the punch and Lott finishes the takedown easily into guard. Lott stands and throws Steele's legs to the side, diving into side control. Steele takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Steele struggling a bit here. Lott looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lott tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Steele is looking for a sweep. Lott working away. Steele tries to get back to half guard but can't. Steele gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Steele actively working from the bottom here. Steele has one foot on Lott's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Steele really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Steele tries to clinch but Lott moves out of range. Ronnie Lott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Steele fails in his attempt to clinch. Steele tries to close the distance and clinch but Lott swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lott swats away the attempt to clinch by Steele. Steele tries to clinch there but Lott circles away.
Lott tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Steele swivels and escapes. Steele has taken the fight to the clinch.
Steele is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lott is keeping busy. Steele pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lott has hold of one of Steele's legs. Steele is fighting the takedown attempt but Lott gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Steele is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lott trying to control but Steele is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steele wants to get back to his feet but Lott is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lott scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Steele looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Steele throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lott drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Steele manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lott has Steele in his guard. Lott looks gassed! Steele is in close to Lott's body, working some short punches and elbows. Lott had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Steele defends it easily. Steele wants to control from the top but Lott keeps moving. Steele thows a big elbow that misses. Steele looking to pass the guard. Steele gets to his feet. Lott looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ronnie Lott dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Steele gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Steele has momentary wrist control but Lott slips an elbow through the middle. Steele is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Steele lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lott! Steele is looking to stand but Steele has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Steele throws a sloppy strike and Lott uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Lott has ended up in Steele's guard.
Steele wants to stand but Lott is controlling the position. Lott is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lott is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steele is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Lott frees his head nicely. Oh but Steele has switched to an armbar! Lott is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
