The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Namakazi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stevens throws a nice looking combination but Namakazi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A head kick misses from Stevens.
Stevens displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Namakazi.
Stevens is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Namakazi.
Namakazi scores with a body shot.
Stevens throws a left and a right that both miss
and Namakazi counters with a left to the body.
Stevens swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Namakazi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stevens misses with a double jab
and Namakazi counters with a two punch combo.
Stevens fails with the takedown.
Stevens is breathing heavily.
Stevens takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stevens takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Stevens closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Namakazi misses with a takedown attempt - Stevens sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stevens swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Namakazi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Stevens is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Namakazi has cracked Stevens with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Namakazi lands another huge swinging hook and Stevens tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Stevens, before Namakazi can land any more shots!
