Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gattsu Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Badr Ramsay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko comes to the cage accompanied by Contender. Ramsay has chosen Protect Ya Neck by Wu Tang Clan as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gattsu Emelianenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Badr Ramsay! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko throws a series of punches but Ramsay avoids them all with ease. Ramsay fails with an attempt to clinch.

Emelianenko throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Emelianenko changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. A slow jab from Emelianenko misses its intended target. Ramsay misses with a hook. Ramsay throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Emelianenko's head. Emelianenko throws a looping overhand right but Ramsay ducks down to avoid it. Ramsay is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Emelianenko. Emelianenko lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ramsay blocks a jab. Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown but Ramsay shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Emelianenko takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ramsay slips under a jab from Emelianenko.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramsay pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Emelianenko closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ramsay to the mat! Ramsay manages to get full guard. Ramsay looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Emelianenko sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ramsay keeping full guard, as Emelianenko tries to pass. Emelianenko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Emelianenko slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramsay keeping moving, preventing Emelianenko from controlling successfully. Emelianenko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Ramsay is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Emelianenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Emelianenko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ramsay wants to stand and escape but Emelianenko is having none of it. Emelianenko trying to control but Ramsay is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gattsu Emelianenko. Ramsay slips under a jab. No joy there for Emelianenko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ramsay throws a hook to the side of Emelianenko's head but Emelianenko sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Emelianenko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ramsay. Gattsu Emelianenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramsay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gattsu Emelianenko dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Emelianenko ducks under a wild hook from Ramsay. Ramsay walks into a jab. Emelianenko looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ramsay! Ramsay is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ramsay is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Ramsay tries to hold on but Emelianenko pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Emelianenko looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Emelianenko is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ramsay has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Ramsay is looking to get to half guard. Ramsay is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ramsay can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Emelianenko controlling the pace for now. Emelianenko looking to control but Ramsay is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ramsay just holding on. You get the feeling that Ramsay really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Emelianenko misses with the combination.

That took the wind out of him momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Gattsu Emelianenko will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

A chopping leg kick lands by Ramsay. Ramsay misses the shot to the body. Ramsay takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Ramsay lands a jab to Emelianenko's midsection. Good leg kick by Ramsay there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ramsay throws an overhand right that lands on Emelianenko's shoulder, as Emelianenko tries to avoid the shot. Ramsay is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Emelianenko. Ramsay wants to clinch up but Emelianenko keeps it at a distance. Emelianenko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ramsay throws a head kick that misses. A combination from Emelianenko does no damage. Emelianenko checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A shot to the body from Emelianenko misses and Ramsay makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Ramsay throws a hook but Emelianenko avoids it easily. Ramsay throws a head kick that Emelianenko semi-blocks.
Emelianenko thows a body shot but no joy. Emelianenko has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Emelianenko moves out of range of the body kick from Ramsay.

Emelianenko throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Ramsay is trying to maintain a safe position but Emelianenko gets an underhook and turns Ramsay into the cage. Emelianenko is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Emelianenko wants to break the clinch but can't.
Emelianenko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Emelianenko throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ramsay counters with a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramsay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Emelianenko manages to avoid it. A jab from Emelianenko finds it's way through Ramsay's defenses. Ramsay slips a jab and a cross from Emelianenko.
Badr Ramsay has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ramsay clinches with his opponent.
Emelianenko is trying to drag Ramsay to the mat but Ramsay just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A battle for position here, against the cage. Ramsay scores with an uppercut up the middle. Emelianenko wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gattsu Emelianenko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ramsay tries to land a knee to the head but Emelianenko blocks with his arms.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ramsay is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Emelianenko is defending well for now. Emelianenko wants a takedown but no success here.
Ramsay is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Emelianenko blocks an elbow strike from Ramsay.
And that's the end of the fight! Badr Ramsay comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Emelianenko has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
