Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Rourk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seiji Minoshima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Rourk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Seiji Minoshima! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Minoshima misses with a head kick.
Rourk shoots in looking for a takedown. Minoshima tries to sprawl out of it but Rourk keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Minoshima manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. No luck for Rourk with that takedown attempt. Minoshima closes the distance and pushes Rourk back into the cage. Minoshima throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Minoshima pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Minoshima changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Michael Rourk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from Minoshima. No joy for Rourk on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Rourk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Minoshima tests Rourk's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Michael Rourk has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rourk misses with a takedown attempt - Minoshima sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rourk is breathing heavily. Minoshima cracks Rourk with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Minoshima is looking to clinch but Rourk is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rourk swats away the attempt to clinch by Minoshima. Minoshima wants to clinch up but Rourk keeps it at a distance. Minoshima throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Rourk fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Minoshima has managed to clinch.
Minoshima digs a right hand underneath Rourk's ribcage. Rourk let out a lung full of air as it connected. Minoshima scores with a hook to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Still in the clinch, Minoshima scores with a nice short uppercut. Minoshima lands a right hand. Rourk tries for a takedown. No joy.

Minoshima lands a head shot. Minoshima tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Minoshima fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Minoshima tries to close the distance and clinch but Rourk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Minoshima throws a head kick that misses. Minoshima closes the distance and clinches. Minoshima stalling.
Minoshima breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rourk shoots in but Minoshima avoids the takedown attempt easily. Rourk closes the distance and clinches up with Minoshima, looking for a takedown. Rourk pushes Minoshima against the cage but Minoshima circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Minoshima closes the distance and pushes Rourk back into the cage. Minoshima works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A shot in the inside from Minoshima. Minoshima scores with a nice hook to the head. A quick uppercut on the inside from Minoshima. Minoshima is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. A nice right hand lands inside from Minoshima.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A short uppercut from Minoshima. Minoshima lands a right hand. Minoshima's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rourk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Minoshima tries to avoid it but Rourk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Minoshima to the ground. Minoshima escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Minoshima fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rourk shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Rourk has hold of Minoshima's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Minoshima manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Minoshima tries to hold on but Rourk pushes him away. Minoshima wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rourk with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Minoshima blocking the ground and pound. Rourk trying to control but he's not successful this time. Minoshima is trying to stand but he's just given Rourk his back. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Minoshima tries to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Seiji Minoshima dominated that round. The cut man is working on Michael Rourk's cut. That's time! Rourk's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rourk shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The fighters circling - Minoshima throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Seiji Minoshima seems to be getting the better of the standup. Minoshima tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rourk shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Minoshima as he avoids it easily. Minoshima leaves Rourk with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rourk jumps guard but Minoshima stands there with Rourk around his waist. Rourk gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Minoshima effectively controlling the action here. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Minoshima creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Rourk's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Minoshima tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rourk paws at him with a jab and circles away. Minoshima defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rourk. Minoshima is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Minoshima misses with a series of wild punches.
Rourk shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Minoshima as he avoids it easily. Rourk fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Minoshima avoids it really well and circles away. Seiji Minoshima is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rourk checks a leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minoshima keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Minoshima drives through and clinches with Rourk against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Minoshima - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Seiji Minoshima seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Minoshima lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Minoshima slows down the pace here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Minoshima scores with a shoulder strike. Minoshima pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rourk takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Minoshima stuffs the takedown attempt from Rourk. Rourk gets slowly back to his feet. Minoshima closes the distance and lands a one-two. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This has been an exciting period of action! Rourk shoots in but no luck this time. Minoshima clinches with his opponent.
The referee is keeping an eye on Minoshima - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Minoshima continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Minoshima digs a right hand underneath Rourk's ribcage. Rourk let out a lung full of air as it connected. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Seiji Minoshima showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Michael Rourk's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
A jab-cross combination lands for Minoshima and sends Rourk crashing to the mat! Minoshima follows him down to the mat - Rourk regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Rourk is rocked! Rourk is looking to improve his position.
Rourk wants to control but Minoshima is keeping busy and won't allow it. Rourk regains full guard. Nicely done. Minoshima trying to control but Rourk is working from the bottom. Rourk wants to sweep but no luck. Rourk trying to control the position.
Rourk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Minoshima defends it easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minoshima seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Rourk looking to control.
Minoshima got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rourk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Minoshima has managed to get both his arms back between Rourk's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Minoshima trying to control but Rourk is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rourk working a defensive guard here.
Minoshima tries to stand but Rourk is controlling from the bottom. Rourk controls Minoshima momentarily but Minoshima frees himself. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rourk is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minoshima keeping moving, preventing Rourk from controlling successfully. Rourk works over Minoshima with some ground and pound from guard. Rourk trying to control the position from guard on top but Minoshima is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rourk is standing up over Minoshima. Minoshima looks to escape but Rourk dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rourk wants to control but Minoshima is keeping him busy. Minoshima wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rourk wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Minoshima, who protects the arm well. Rourk wants to control but Minoshima is keeping him busy. Seiji Minoshima is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Minoshima regains half guard there - taking advantage of Rourk's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Michael Rourk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Minoshima really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rourk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Michael Rourk. Nice sprawl there from Minoshima as Rourk shoots in.
And that's the end of the fight! Seiji Minoshima comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Minoshima winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
