Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Evin Samun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darrius Fedotenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evin Samun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darrius Fedotenko! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samun tries to clinch up. Samun shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fedotenko as he jumps to the side. Fedotenko stuffs the takedown attempt from Samun. Samun gets slowly back to his feet. Fedotenko swats away the attempt to clinch by Samun. Samun shoots in but Fedotenko avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evin Samun. That's going to take a lot out of him. Samun misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Samun tries to close the distance and clinch but Fedotenko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Some wild striking there from Samun.
Samun throws a body punch but Fedotenko moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samun shoots for a double leg takedown but Fedotenko sprawls well. He's pushed Samun's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Samun scores with a three punch combo!
Fedotenko shoots for a takedown but Samun saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Samun shoots and misses and Fedotenko counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Fedotenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Samun is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fedotenko is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Fedotenko controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Fedotenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Samun is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Samun is breathing heavily. Fedotenko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Fedotenko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Fedotenko is stalling in the full guard. Fedotenko tries to free his leg and advance position but Samun is retaining full guard. Fedotenko loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Fedotenko is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Fedotenko keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Samun's head. Samun keeping moving, preventing Fedotenko from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Despite being in the dominant position, Darrius Fedotenko just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Samun doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fedotenko counters with a nice double leg into side control. Samun won't be happy with that. Fedotenko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fedotenko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Fedotenko working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Samun is trying to improve his position. You can see the frustration on Samun's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Samun prevents Fedotenko from improving position. Samun gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Fedotenko wants to free his trapped foot but Samun is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Samun is trying to control but can't.
Samun is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Samun gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fedotenko counters with a takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Samun sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Fedotenko winds up and cracks Samun with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Fedotenko blocks the strikes from Samun.
Fedotenko stops Samun from getting back to his feet.
Fedotenko thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Samun's head. Samun blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fedotenko. Fedotenko misses with a head shot. Samun uses the momentum to regain guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fedotenko prevents Samun from getting back to his feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Samun with a poor takedown and Fedotenko counters with a shoot takedown. Samun fights it but they end up in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darrius Fedotenko dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Fedotenko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Samun's waist but Samun gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fedotenko off to one side. Samun tries for a takedown but Fedotenko circles away easily and Fedotenko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Samun's guard. Samun pulls Fedotenko in close to his closed guard and prevents Fedotenko from doing any damage or advancing position. Fedotenko wants to pass the guard but Samun is keeping the position. Fedotenko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Darrius Fedotenko has got the better of the ground game so far. Samun looking for a sweep. Not yet Samun, not yet. Samun being controlled here, momentarily. Fedotenko working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Samun's head. Fedotenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fedotenko postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Samun is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fedotenko, into his guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fedotenko is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fedotenko pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Samun is keeping the position for now. Fedotenko sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Samun's guard. Fedotenko is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Fedotenko is trying to control the action in half guard but Samun is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Fedotenko is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Fedotenko is breathing heavily. Samun lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage. Samun is looking to control Fedotenko's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Samun avoid being mounted? Fedotenko thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Samun's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fedotenko is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Samun has managed to free his arm - good work. Samun is trying to get back to full guard.

Fedotenko is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fedotenko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Samun is working away from the top position though. Fedotenko gets full guard. Fedotenko manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Fedotenko postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Samun looks a forlorn figure.
Fedotenko has control of Samun's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Samun regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Samun throwing hammer fists to the chest of Fedotenko. What's that going to do exactly? Fedotenko loads up with a big shot that hurts Samun! He's pulled Fedotenko in close but Fedotenko has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Samun survive? More strikes from Fedotenko and Samun is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
