Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Hagler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Basje Schrauwen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schrauwen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by B.M.F.. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnny Hagler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Basje Schrauwen! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schrauwen shoots for a double leg takedown but Hagler sprawls well. He's pushed Schrauwen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Schrauwen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hagler! Schrauwen landing strikes from the mount. Schrauwen connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Schrauwen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hagler is in all sorts of trouble here.
Schrauwen throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Hagler wants to hold on but Schrauwen pushes him away. Schrauwen throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hagler because Schrauwen loaded up on that one. Schrauwen lands a heavy elbow. Schrauwen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hagler tries to hold on but Schrauwen pushes him away. Schrauwen controlling the pace for now. Hagler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schrauwen on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hagler is wriggling around trying to escape.
Schrauwen gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Hagler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A head kick misses from Hagler. Schrauwen shoots in for a double leg but Hagler sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hagler displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Schrauwen. Johnny Hagler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Basje Schrauwen. Schrauwen moves out of range as Hagler throws a body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hagler misses with a kick to the body.
Schrauwen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hagler looks to land a body kick but Schrauwen moved away. Hagler delivers a nice body kick. Schrauwen shoots in for a double leg but Hagler sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hagler throws a head kick that misses. Hagler displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Schrauwen. Schrauwen looks gassed! A head kick misses from Hagler. Schrauwen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hagler's waist but Hagler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schrauwen off to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schrauwen throws a head kick that misses and Hagler counters with a solid body kick. Hagler throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Schrauwen. Hagler throws a sloppy head kick and Schrauwen moves out of range easily. Schrauwen tries to clinch but fails miserably and Hagler counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Hagler scores with a kick to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Schrauwen blocks a head kick by Hagler.
A head kick by Hagler misses and Schrauwen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hagler won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hagler struggling a bit here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hagler wants to get back to his feet but Schrauwen drags him back down. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Basje Schrauwen will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hagler plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Hagler misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hagler displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Schrauwen. Hagler tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Schrauwen was well out of range. Poor timing from Hagler. Schrauwen on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Basje Schrauwen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Schrauwen is breathing heavily. Hagler throws a lazy head kick and Schrauwen counters by clinching up. Schrauwen jumps guard but Hagler stands there with Schrauwen around his waist. Schrauwen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hagler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Schrauwen lands a front kick. Hagler throws a head kick that misses and Schrauwen counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hagler is looking to control Schrauwen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hagler avoid being mounted? Hagler tries to roll over but Schrauwen keeps him under control. Schrauwen moves into full mount! Hagler won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schrauwen controlling from mount. Schrauwen unloads with some shots from mount but Hagler bucks and avoids them well.
Hagler keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Schrauwen lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hagler wants to hold on but Schrauwen pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schrauwen content just to control the position here. Schrauwen jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hagler manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hagler is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Schrauwen asserts his dominance and retains side control. Schrauwen tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Hagler struggling a bit here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Basje Schrauwen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Schrauwen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Schrauwen moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Hagler is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Schrauwen's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Hagler is trying to stand back up but Schrauwen is controlling him
Hagler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Schrauwen thows a huge punch but Hagler dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schrauwen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hagler defending well though. Schrauwen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Schrauwen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Schrauwen is looking to advance position but Hagler won't allow it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Schrauwen tries to clinch but Hagler moves out of range. Schrauwen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Schrauwen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Schrauwen trying to control but Hagler is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hagler is trying to escape the mount.
Hagler's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Schrauwen controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hagler is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Schrauwen has taken his back! Schrauwen throwing sloppy strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hagler holding both Schrauwen 's hands and preventing any damage. Schrauwen is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Schrauwen somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Schrauwen throwing wild punches that miss their target. Schrauwen tries to get the hooks in deep but Hagler pushed the leg off.
And that's the end of the fight! Basje Schrauwen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Schrauwen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
