Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Benjamin Pace!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lovelace gets a clinch.
Pace looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Lovelace prevents a takedown attempt there.

Lovelace gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Lovelace might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lovelace is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Lovelace goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


That has opened up Benjamin Pace's cut even more.

Lovelace closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Pace pushes Lovelace away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lovelace gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Pace tries to buck Lovelace off but Lovelace is having none of it.

Lovelace goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pace rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Lovelace's guard! Nice work there by Pace!

Lovelace lands a high kick to the side of Pace's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Lovelace dives into guard, looking to finish.

Lovelace slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lovelace throws an elbow but Pace slips to the side and avoids it well.

Lovelace decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pace to his feet.
Benjamin Pace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lovelace has taken the fight to the clinch.

Lovelace has his hands on Pace's head, controlling the position.
Lovelace tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Lovelace shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pace's guard.

Pace uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Lovelace decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
