Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake McIntosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blake McIntosh! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryan doesn't manage to clinch there - McIntosh circles away.
Ryan looks for a takedown but McIntosh sprawls well. Ryan throws a sloppy head kick and McIntosh moves out of range easily. McIntosh throws a nice looking combination but Ryan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. McIntosh throws a right and a left that both miss. Ryan tries for a takedown but McIntosh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. McIntosh tries to bum rush Ryan with a series of wild strikes but Ryan uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ryan misses with a few strikes there.
McIntosh fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McIntosh throws a right hand that Ryan ducks under and follows up with a left that Ryan also avoids with ease. McIntosh throws a nice looking combination but Ryan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Blake McIntosh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McIntosh misses with a few strikes there.
Ryan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Ryan. That's going to take a lot out of him. McIntosh changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ryan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McIntosh decides to stand back up. McIntosh steps back and let's Ryan get back to his feet. McIntosh closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McIntosh lands in his opponent's guard. McIntosh in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan wants to sweep here but McIntosh controlling him for the moment. Ryan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McIntosh manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ryan preventing the sweep. McIntosh is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. McIntosh is trying to keep Ryan in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McIntosh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ryan is one step ahead there. Ryan wanted to stand there but McIntosh had control of the position. Ryan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McIntosh is keeping the position for now. McIntosh is working an open guard so Ryan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Ryan looking to land some kicks to the body here.
McIntosh rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ryan moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ryan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and McIntosh decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ryan's guard. Ryan is breathing heavily. McIntosh tries to free his leg and advance position but Ryan is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan working a defensive guard here.
Ryan keeping moving, preventing McIntosh from controlling successfully. McIntosh postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ryan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McIntosh, into his guard. Ryan content to stall in guard here. Ryan passes McIntosh's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. McIntosh trying to control here.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ryan in particular looking to stall. Ryan wants to work for an arm triangle but McIntosh is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McIntosh is trying to get back to full guard. Ryan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ryan looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Ryan throws a strike but McIntosh avoids it easily and moves to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blake McIntosh dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ryan wants to clinch and McIntosh counters with a three punch combo that has Ryan backing up. Ryan nods at McIntosh to acknowledge the strikes. Ryan clinches but McIntosh breaks the clinch and McIntosh counters with a two punch combo. McIntosh throws out a powerful jab. Ryan gets caught flat footed, as McIntosh shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. McIntosh throws a strike but Ryan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ryan wants to control from the top but McIntosh keeps moving. Ryan drops back looking for a leg! McIntosh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McIntosh manages to kick Ryan off! Ryan jumps back into McIntosh's guard. McIntosh wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. McIntosh trying to strike off his back.
McIntosh looking for a sweep. Not yet McIntosh, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ryan throws a strike but McIntosh rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ryan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McIntosh. Ryan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. McIntosh fails with an attempt to clinch.
McIntosh looks to land a body kick but Ryan moved away. Ryan tries to clinch but McIntosh moves away and McIntosh counters with a left and a right that stings Ryan. McIntosh misses with a double jab
and Ryan counters with a three punch combo that has McIntosh backing up. McIntosh nods at Ryan to acknowledge the strikes. McIntosh looks to land a combination but Ryan avoids it well. Ryan gets the takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McIntosh manages to get back to half guard. McIntosh throws some strikes from the bottom but Ryan isn't bothered - he's working on a kimura... it looks tight... it is! McIntosh is tapping and screaming like a little girl! Ouch, that looks painful! Good win for Ryan!
