Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Drago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fred Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lesnar throws a nice head kick!

Drago closes the distance and clinches.

Lesnar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lesnar tries to clinch but Drago moves away

and Drago holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Drago tries to break the clinch but Lesnar is controlling the position.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Lesnar just misses with a elbow thrown towards Drago's brow.
Lesnar has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Drago avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Drago slows down the pace here.
Lesnar throws an elbow that misses.

Drago manages to pull guard.
Lesnar postures up in Drago's guard and throws a big left but Drago blocks it.
Drago is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lesnar should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Drago has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lesnar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Drago working a defensive guard here.
Drago will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Drago avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lesnar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Drago works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Drago is trying to control the position but Lesnar postures up.
Lesnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lesnar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Lesnar postures up in Drago's guard and throws a big left but Drago blocks it.
Lesnar trying to stand up but can't free himself from Drago's guard.
Lesnar tries to free his leg and advance position but Drago is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Drago shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lesnar as he jumps to the side.
Lesnar wants to clinch but Drago slips to the side

and Drago counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lesnar won't be happy with that.
Lesnar is pushing Drago's head away, looking to escape. Drago manages to hold on to the position though.
Lesnar is trying to improve his position.
Lesnar is trying to work for a sweep but Drago has mounted him!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Drago lands a big shot there that rocks Lesnar but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lesnar tries to reverse the position but Drago maintains control.
Drago tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lesnar wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
I really don't envy Lesnar right now.
Drago avoiding Lesnar 's attempts to control his hands.
Drago keeps control of the position easily here as Lesnar tries to buck him off.

Lesnar is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Drago gets his way!
Drago is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Drago.
You can see the frustration on Lesnar's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Drago tries to keep control of the position but Lesnar is staying busy.
I would not like to be Lesnar right now.
Lesnar is in bad spot here.
Lesnar trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Lesnar trying to survive by controlling the hands.
Lesnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drago. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lesnar trying to get back to his feet but Drago is in full control for now.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Lesnar has eaten all the pies!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lesnar is trying to break free.
Lesnar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Lesnar trying to control but not successfully.

Drago has got one arm under Lesnar's chin. This could be trouble... Lesnar trying to control the other hand but Drago gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Lesnar has tapped out! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ivan Drago!
