Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Lawerence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Portes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawerence comes to the cage accompanied by Ave Maria. Portes has chosen The Doors - Riders on the storm as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Portes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lawerence sprawls well. Lawerence wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Portes gets slowly back to his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Portes wants to clinch.
Portes fails with a takedown attempt.
Portes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lawerence closes the distance and pushes Portes back into the cage.

Johnny Lawerence has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabio Portes.
Portes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lawerence gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Portes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lawerence just stands there and leans against the cage.
Portes is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lawerence pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Lawerence's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Fabio Portes's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
