Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sang Suk Yong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Domingo Perez! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suk Yong misses with a few strikes there.
Nice cross by Perez. Perez misses with a straight left. Suk Yong swinging wildly here.
Suk Yong swings for the body but Perez moves out of range.
Suk Yong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Perez moves away. Suk Yong takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Suk Yong throws a head kick that misses. Suk Yong chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Perez can pounce on him.
Perez thuds a left hand into Suk Yong's body. Perez pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Perez staying out of range there. Suk Yong throws a predictable looking body shot
and Perez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Perez feints and then cracks Suk Yong's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Suk Yong down. Suk Yong fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Suk Yong takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's one minute gone in the round. Suk Yong misses with a hook to the body
and Perez counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Perez. Perez slips nicely into half guard. Perez missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Suk Yong keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Suk Yong taking some punishment here, with Perez in his half guard. Perez lands strikes from half guard. Perez working over Suk Yong with some ground and pound. Suk Yong looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Perez connects with a nice short shot to Suk Yong's temple. Perez in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Suk Yong tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Perez!
