Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamal Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LePew misses with a straight left.
LePew stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Johnson looks to land a combination but LePew avoids it well.
LePew ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away.
LePew works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
LePew scores with a three punch combo!
LePew shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A telegraphed right hand from Johnson misses the target.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Johnson is trying to stick to LePew's back but LePew is turning into Johnson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Johnson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by LePew.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

LePew sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard.

LePew stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

LePew has gone for a leg lock! Johnson slips out almost immediately though and dives into LePew's guard.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Johnson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
LePew jabs at Johnson's body.
LePew lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
LePew is looking for a sweep.
Johnson tries to move to full mount but LePew actually manages to regain half guard.
