Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Irv Goldman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peter Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Irv Goldman!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie wants to clinch.

Goldman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Goldman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gracie did well to prevent Goldman getting side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Goldman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gracie is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Goldman off and has taken his back!
Goldman breaks Gracie's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Gracie has his foot on Goldman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Goldman works his way back into a safe position though.

Goldman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goldman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Goldman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Goldman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Goldman has hold of Gracie's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gracie manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Goldman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gracie manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Goldman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gracie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Gracie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Goldman is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gracie has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gracie tries to reverse the position but Goldman maintains control.

Irv Goldman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
