Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hakuin Ekaku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mini Me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ekaku's entrance music is IV. A fine choice. Mini Me is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hakuin Ekaku! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mini Me! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Me moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Me drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A big left from Me misses. Ekaku displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Mini Me has been cut. Ekaku avoids the body shot from Me.
Me misses with a double jab
and Ekaku counters with a nice uppercut. Me stuns Ekaku with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ekaku lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ekaku tries to work over Me's front leg with a kick but Me checks it. Ekaku slips under a jab from Me. Ekaku jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Me blocks a head kick by Ekaku.
Ekaku turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Me tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ekaku counters with an outside leg kick.
Me closes the distance but Ekaku moves to the side and Ekaku counters with a three punch combo that has Me backing up. Me nods at Ekaku to acknowledge the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Me tries to clinch and Ekaku counters with a nice low kick that buckles Me's knee momentarily. Me tries to clinch but Ekaku moves away and Ekaku counters with a series of strikes. Me will be more careful next time no doubt. Nice defenses there by Ekaku. Me clinches but Ekaku breaks the clinch and Ekaku counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Ekaku walks into a straight right hand from Me. Mini Me seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Me throws a sloppy body shot
and Ekaku counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Me takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A telegraphed right hand from Ekaku misses the target. Me throws a hook but Ekaku avoids it easily. Ekaku slips a straight right by Me. Me looks to land a left hand but Ekaku moved out of range nicely. Me clinches but Ekaku breaks the clinch and Ekaku makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Me closes the distance looking to clinch and Ekaku counters with a nice double leg into side control. Me won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ekaku tries to advance to mount but Me denies him. Ekaku slows the pace down. Ekaku grinds an elbow into Me's temple.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ekaku controlling the position from side mount. Me tries to escape but Ekaku is in control. Ekaku tries to move to mount but Me blocks the move with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ekaku takes a little break here. Me wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Ekaku wants to lay and pray for a moment but Me keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hakuin Ekaku dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mini Me's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ekaku throws a right and a left that both miss. Hakuin Ekaku is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ekaku throws a series of strikes that have Me backpedaling.

Me is breathing heavily. Me throws a hook to the side of Ekaku's head but Ekaku sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Me looks to clinch and Ekaku counters with a slapping leg kick. The fighters circle momentarily. Ekaku darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Ekaku cracks the inside of Me's front leg. Ekaku fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Me. Ekaku scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Ekaku lands a nice shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Ekaku. Decent striking displayed by Ekaku there. A punch combination from Ekaku misses. Jab, jab by Ekaku - just one landing. Me closes the distance and lands a one-two. Ekaku lands a slapping body shot.
Ekaku cracks Me with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Ekaku throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Ekaku fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A chopping leg kick lands by Ekaku. Ekaku paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That has opened up Mini Me's cut even more. Ekaku is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Me can do to turn this around? Ekaku fails to land with a series of punches.
Ekaku looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Me being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ekaku has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mini Me is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice uppercut there from Ekaku. Ekaku circles away from the clinch attempt and Ekaku counters with a slapping leg kick. Me misses with a hook. Ekaku ducked under it nicely. Ekaku uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Me is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Ekaku connects with a solid leg kick. Me tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ekaku counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Me's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Me takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Mini Me has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A nice combination there by Ekaku.
Me is rocked! A solid leg kick lands there for Ekaku.
Me takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Me is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ekaku. Me connects with a body shot. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ekaku defending well as Me loads up on a big left hand. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ekaku, right into the meat.
Hakuin Ekaku is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ekaku dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Me. That did some damage! Me falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ekaku counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
And that's the end of the fight! Hakuin Ekaku showed his dominance in that final round. Well Ekaku has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
