The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Chuteboxe!
Garimonde feints and then cracks Chuteboxe's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chuteboxe down.
Chuteboxe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Garimonde.
Chuteboxe delivers a nice body kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Chuteboxe throws a head kick that Garimonde semi-blocks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A right-left combo lands from Chuteboxe.
Chuteboxe throws a leg kick which misses Garimonde's front leg but catches the back leg as Garimonde tries to avoid it.
No joy there for Chuteboxe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Chuteboxe tries to land a front kick but Garimonde steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Chuteboxe swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Garimonde shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Garimonde showed some decent athleticism there.
Garimonde looks gassed!
Garimonde thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Chuteboxe tries to kick Garimonde off but Garimonde keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Garimonde has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Garimonde looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Chuteboxe wants to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Garimonde uses his free foot to push down on Chuteboxe's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Chuteboxe.
Garimonde looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Garimonde won't let Chuteboxe get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chuteboxe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Garimonde on the ground.
