Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
sai shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Joe as he avoids it easily.
Tokyo Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joe lands a right hook to the body.
Joe ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
sai fails with a takedown attempt.
sai fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Joe avoids it really well and circles away.

Joe lands a front kick.
Joe lands a straight punch to the body, keeping sai at a distance.
sai takes a shot to the body in his stride.
sai gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Joe.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
sai avoids the attempt from Joe to control.
sai prevents Joe from getting the reversal.

Joe stops sai from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Joe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Joe wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by sai.
Joe is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Joe tries to hold on but sai pushes him away.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
sai moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Joe has worked his arm free - good work by Joe!
sai really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Joe's corner calls for a 1-2. Joe obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

A close round but Tokyo Joe will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Joe throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

sai fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Joe avoids it really well and circles away.
sai has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from sai there as he acknowledges the shot.
Joe lands with a nice combination. sai backs away looking to recover.
Nice straight punches there by Joe. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Joe.
Joe throws a leg kick which misses sai's front leg but catches the back leg as sai tries to avoid it.
Joe swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by sai.
Joe cracks a nice hook into sai's ribs.
sai shoots in and drives through. Joe sprawls well.
sai ducks right into an uppercut from Joe.
A jab lands there for Joe.
Joe scores with a shot to the body.
sai throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Joe's waist but Joe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing sai off to one side.

Joe cracks sai with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Joe throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
sai tries to score a power double leg takedown but Joe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten sai somewhat.

Joe lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
No luck for sai with that takedown attempt.
Joe is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

The crowd cheers as Joe lands an impressive looking overhand right. sai doesn't seem phased though.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Joe lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

sai takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Tokyo Joe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
sai is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Joe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

sai looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
