Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between john mediano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Lindsay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - mediano looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
mediano moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Lindsay tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but mediano paws at him with a jab and circles away.

mediano throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
mediano shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lindsay as he avoids it easily.
mediano fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Lindsay is out of range.

and mediano counters with a three punch combo that has Lindsay backing up. Lindsay nods at mediano to acknowledge the strikes.

mediano will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

mediano working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lindsay doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lindsay manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

I looks like Lindsay might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lindsay content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because mediano has locked up a guillotine! mediano's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lindsay is holding on here and mediano must be using up a lot of energy. Lindsay has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! mediano gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
