Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Funky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Ogden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ogden is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pantera - Drag The Waters. David Ogden will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ogden moves into range and connects with a jab. Ogden fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Funky. Funky shoots for a takedown but Ogden saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Funky closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ogden circles away. Funky tries to close the distance and clinch but Ogden swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Funky. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Funky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Funky keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ogden fakes the leg kick and cracks Funky in the body. Funky is looking to clinch. Ogden thows a body kick. Funky tries to catch it but that hurt him. Crunch! Ogden slams his shin into Funky's torso. Funky is breathing heavily. Crunch! Ogden slams his shin into Funky's torso. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ogden lands a nice looking kick to the body. Funky takes a step back to recover. Ogden throws a nice outside leg kick. Ogden lands a high kick!
Ben Funky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Funky takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Ogden pushes Funky away with a front kick. Funky takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ogden drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ogden working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ogden thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ogden has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ogden wants to control from the top but Funky keeps moving. Ogden drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ogden jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ogden thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ogden throwing strikes from guard but Funky blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ogden drops back, looking for a kneebar! Funky looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Funky looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Funky! Funky wants to control for a moment but Ogden uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Ogden is looking to get back to full guard here but Funky has managed to pass to side control instead. Ogden keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Funky trying to control but he's not successful this time. Funky working the ground and pound effectively.
Ogden is looking to improve his position but Funky isn't that keen on the idea. Funky tries to control but Ogden wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ogden tries to hold on but Funky pushes him away. Funky looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Funky looking to finish Ogden with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ogden! Ogden keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Funky landing shots from mount. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Funky lands a nice shot to the head. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Funky pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Funky unloading with bombs! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Ogden dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Funky shoots and misses and Ogden counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ogden. Funky keeping moving, preventing Ogden from controlling successfully. Ogden pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Funky is keeping the position for now. Ogden is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Funky is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Funky has escaped and now he's on top! Funky tries to free his leg and advance position but Ogden is retaining full guard. Funky trying to control but Ogden is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Funky trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Funky might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Funky wants to control from the top but Ogden keeps moving. Funky preventing the sweep. Ogden is looking for a triangle but Funky pushes his legs off easily.
Ogden working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Funky. Funky trying to control but Ogden is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ogden bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ogden lands a right hook to the body.
Ogden throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Funky fails with the takedown and Ogden counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Funky walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ogden. Funky throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ogden sees it coming and avoids it easily. Funky stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ogden. Ogden gets a takedown into half guard. Ogden is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Funky has managed to free his arm - good work. Ogden tries to pass the half guard into mount. Funky knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ogden seems to be looking for submissions.
Funky preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Ogden is looking for a kimura but Funky is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ogden to get the leverage. Ogden is keen to just control but Funky is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The fighters are battling for position here. Funky manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Ogden looking to sit in guard and control but Funky gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ogden wants to sweep but no luck. Ogden keeping full guard, as Funky tries to pass. Ogden manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Funky manages to get himself to full guard.
Ogden trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Funky manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Ogden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Ogden goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. David Ogden seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ogden clinches up against the ropes. Funky is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. Ogden gets a trip takedown into half guard. Ogden wants to take a breather but Funky is having none of it. Ogden is working for a kimura but Funky is defending it quite comfortably.
Ogden is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Funky defends it well. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Funky is defending against the submission attempts here by Ogden.
Ogden is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Funky is just riding it out for now. Ogden eventually gives up the hold. Funky keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Ben Funky overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ogden content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Ogden seems to be working for a kimura but Funky defends the submission attempt.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Funky tries to clinch but Ogden moves away and Ogden counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Funky is lucky that one didn't land flush. Funky drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ogden is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Funky's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Funky prevents Ogden from improving his position. Funky looks to land a strike but Ogden avoids it nicely and regains full guard. David Ogden is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Funky trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Ogden manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Ogden trying to control the position from guard on top but Funky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ogden wants to stand and escape but instead Funky has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Funky with a flurry of punches that miss. Ogden not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Funky trying to control but Ogden is working from the bottom. Ben Funky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Funky throwing strikes from guard but Ogden blocks nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! David Ogden comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Ogden winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
