Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Herb Hurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiroishi Strichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strichi has chosen Pegasus Fantasy as his entrance music. Herb Hurt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurt fails to land the takedown.
Strichi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Herb Hurt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hurt closes the distance and clinches.
Strichi is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Hurt blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Strichi is trying to break free.
Hurt manages to break the clinch.
Hurt looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Strichi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Hurt throws some wild stikes that Strichi manages to avoid easily.

Hurt stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Hurt fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hurt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Strichi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hurt has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Hurt shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Strichi's guard.
Hurt slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hurt is breathing heavily.

Hurt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Strichi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hurt pushes down on Strichi's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's time! Hurt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Strichi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hurt manages to avoid it.

and Strichi counters with a head kick.
Strichi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Strichi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Hurt counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hurt decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hurt drops Strichi with a beautiful combination! Strichi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hurt is looking for the KO!

It looks like Hiroishi Strichi has been cut.
Strichi is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hurt is looking to clinch.
Strichi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Hurt fails with the takedown.
Hurt clinches but Strichi breaks the clinch
and Strichi counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Hurt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Hurt controlling his opponent.
Hurt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Strichi for as long as he can get away with.

Hurt is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Strichi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Strichi has escaped and now he's on top!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Strichi stuffs the takedown attempt from Hurt. Hurt gets slowly back to his feet.
Hurt tries to close the distance and clinch but Strichi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Strichi is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hurt is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hurt turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hurt manages to end up in side control.

Hurt tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hurt has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Strichi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well Hurt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
