Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Rockstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasya Galushky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockstein comes into the arena with I'm just a Rock 'n' Roll Clown - Dr Rockzo blaring out of the sound system. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Leonard Rockstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vasya Galushky! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rockstein looks to throw the jab but Galushky is out of range. Rockstein moves into the clinch. Galushky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rockstein is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Rockstein tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Galushky blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Rockstein has a couple of punches blocked by Galushky.
Galushky is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Rockstein is trying to break the clinch but Galushky is controlling him. A frustrated look appears on Rockstein's face as he tries to break the clinch. Rockstein's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Galushky shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rockstein napping and manages to drive through into side control! Galushky throws an elbow but Rockstein slips to the side and avoids it well. Rockstein prevents Galushky from moving into mount. The referee asks Galushky politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Galushky prefers to stall for the moment though. Galushky swings around for an armbar but Rockstein sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Galushky's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Galushky scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Galushky takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Galushky tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rockstein swivels and escapes. Leonard Rockstein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vasya Galushky. Galushky looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Galushky decides to stand up. Rockstein scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Vasya Galushky has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Galushky misses with a takedown attempt - Rockstein sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Galushky looks gassed! Rockstein stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rockstein wants it to stay on the feet. Galushky tries to keep at a distance but Rockstein has taken the fight into the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rockstein takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Galushky drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rockstein gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Rockstein's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rockstein displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Galushky. Galushky shoots in for a takedown but Rockstein shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rockstein lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rockstein throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Rockstein lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rockstein. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Good standup being displayed there by Rockstein as he connects with a hook. Rockstein throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Rockstein lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Galushky backs up against the cage.
Rockstein moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
That has opened up Vasya Galushky's cut even more. Nice body kick there by Rockstein. Rockstein cracks Galushky with a good jab. Galushky closes the distance and clinches up with Rockstein, looking for a takedown. Galushky pushes Rockstein against the cage but Rockstein circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rockstein closes the distance and clinches. Rockstein lands an elbow inside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockstein's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rockstein dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Rockstein is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Rockstein throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Galushky gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rockstein. Rockstein connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Rockstein stuffs the takedown. Rockstein thows a body kick. Galushky tries to catch it but that hurt him. A slapping body kick lands there for Rockstein. Rockstein smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rockstein lands a nice shot to the body.
Rockstein stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rockstein wants it to stay on the feet. Galushky has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Rockstein. Rockstein lands a front kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leonard Rockstein dominated that round. The cut man is working on Vasya Galushky's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Galushky takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Rockstein leaves Galushky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Galushky fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rockstein avoids it really well and circles away. Galushky shoots in looking for a takedown. Rockstein tries to sprawl out of it but Galushky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rockstein manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Leonard Rockstein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vasya Galushky. Rockstein explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A nice combination there by Rockstein.
Galushky with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rockstein to score with a decent uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crunch! Rockstein slams his shin into Galushky's torso. Rockstein clinches. Rockstein is trying to force a seperation but Galushky has the dominant position. Rockstein manages to break the clinch.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Vasya Galushky. No luck with that takedown attempt from Galushky.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rockstein slaps away a takedown attempt from Galushky, before circling back to the center of the mat. Galushky shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rockstein as he avoids it easily. The crowd cheers as Rockstein lands an impressive looking overhand right. Galushky doesn't seem phased though. Vasya Galushky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Galushky tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rockstein swivels and escapes. Galushky takes a kick to the side of the head. Leonard Rockstein is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rockstein fails to land with a series of punches.

Rockstein misses with a series of wild punches.

Rockstein paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Galushky shoots in looking for a takedown. Rockstein manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Vasya Galushky is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rockstein lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Galushky walks into a jab. Rockstein has managed to clinch.

Rockstein lands an elbow that stopped Galushky in his tracks for a moment. Galushky blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Rockstein softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Rockstein pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Galushky takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rockstein stuffs the takedown attempt from Galushky. Galushky gets slowly back to his feet. Leonard Rockstein is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Rockstein closes the distance and clinches. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rockstein will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Galushky up against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Leonard Rockstein showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rockstein, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
