Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Les Claypool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valio Hristov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Les Claypool!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Valio Hristov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hristov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Claypool circles away quickly and effectively.
Hristov throws the left hand but Claypool avoids the punch easily.
Claypool finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hristov misses with a double jab.

Hristov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Claypool to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Claypool is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hristov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Claypool tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Claypool has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

You can see the frustration on Hristov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Claypool fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hristov is out of range.
Hristov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hristov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hristov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Claypool throws and low kick but Hristov moves out of range easily.

Hristov tries to roll over but Claypool keeps him under control.

Claypool moves into full mount! Hristov won't be happy about that!

Claypool looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Claypool changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hristov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Les Claypool overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Claypool seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hristov for as long as he can get away with.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Claypool, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
