The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suda misses with an uppercut. Williams saw that one coming. Williams uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Suda. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Williams, as that shot connected.

Suda throws a lazy right hand but Williams sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Suda throws the left hand but Williams avoids the punch easily. Williams shoots in for a takedown. Williams drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Suda manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Williams has Suda in his guard. Williams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Suda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Williams looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Williams looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Suda's guard. Williams drops back for a leg! Suda is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Suda keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. Williams drops back looking for a leg! Suda is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Suda manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Suda's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams passes Suda's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Williams seems to be working for a kimura but Suda defends the submission attempt. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Williams looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
