With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Georg the Caliph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jan David!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
the Caliph uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from David.
David lands a glancing blow to the side of the Caliph's head.
David lands a body shot.
David lunges at the Caliph with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by the Caliph's hand.
David misses with an uppercut. the Caliph saw that one coming.
David misses with a hook. the Caliph ducked under it nicely.
David lands a straight punch to the body, keeping the Caliph at a distance.
David jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A big right from David misses.
David lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
the Caliph has a takedown stuffed.

David ducks down and throws a hook to the body but the Caliph moves away.
David misses with a hook. the Caliph ducked under it nicely.
The fighters circling - David throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
David just misses with a punch to the body.
David punishes the Caliph's body with a nice straight punch.
David throws an uppercut from half a mile away. the Caliph sees it coming and avoids it easily.

David defends well against a solid takedown attempt from the Caliph.
David misses with an uppercut. the Caliph saw that one coming.
David leaves the Caliph with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

David cracks the Caliph with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
David connects with a body shot that sends the Caliph's belly button to the back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
David swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
David lands a really nice looking cross but the Caliph seems unphased.
David lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
David wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

the Caliph shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has David pinned against the cage. David gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

the Caliph takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

David dips to his left and cracks the Caliph with an uppercut!


Georg the Caliph's cut is getting worse.
the Caliph has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from David finds it's way round the side to connect with the Caliph's head.
the Caliph walks into a stiff left hand from David.
the Caliph fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
David throws out a loose jab but the Caliph uses good head movement to avoid it.
the Caliph throws a hook but David avoids it easily.
the Caliph walks into a left hand.
David has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
David fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

David jabs the Caliph right on the nose. the Caliph blinks but takes it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
the Caliph drops his hands momentarily and David takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and David makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
David cracks the Caliph with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jan David showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

David throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent the Caliph stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Georg the Caliph's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Jan David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

David connects with a good right hand that stumbles the Caliph. the Caliph circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Jan David is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether the Caliph might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Jan David comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well David has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
