Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Markku Alarinne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ming Ong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alarinne's entrance music is Chiquita Ska Band - American Jesus. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Markku Alarinne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ming Ong! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Alarinne looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Danga de danga de dang - Ong scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Markku Alarinne has been cut. Ong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alarinne tries to avoid it but Ong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alarinne to the ground. Alarinne escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ong lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ong punishes Alarinne's body with a nice straight punch. Nice straight punches there by Ong. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ong. Alarinne shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ong as he jumps to the side. Ong tries to clinch but Alarinne moves away and Alarinne counters with a right hand to the body. Ming Ong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alarinne darts in trying to clinch and Ong counters with a lovely shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A combination from Ong does no damage. Ong lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Alarinne has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Alarinne with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ong to score with a decent uppercut. Ong fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ong gets the takedown into side control. Ong tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Alarinne tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ong gets to mount! Alarinne was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Alarinne wants to hold on but Ong pushes him away. Ong throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Ong landing strikes from the mount and Alarinne is in trouble! Ong swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Alarinne is now in Ong's guard. A big mistake from Ong there, giving up the dominant position! Ong tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ong not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Alarinne is looking to work some ground and pound but Ong has wrist control. Ong looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Alarinne throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ong works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Alarinne is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ong wants to sweep here but Alarinne controlling him for the moment. Alarinne controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ong misses with a series of wild punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ong thuds his right hand into Alarinne's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Ong stuns Alarinne with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Alarinne fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ong avoids it really well and circles away. Alarinne takes a shot right to the bread basket. Ong throws a right and a left that Alarinne avoids nicely. Ong moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Ong lands a lovely overhand right. Ong swinging wildly here.
Ong lands with a nice combination. Alarinne backs away looking to recover. Ong scores a takedown into full mount! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ong landing punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ong is working for a guillotine from mount but Alarinne frees his head quite easily.
Ong looks gassed! Alarinne gets back to half guard. Alarinne is holding on to half guard well. Alarinne regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Ong. Alarinne looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ong is one step ahead there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alarinne keeping full guard, as Ong tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ming Ong dominated that round. The cut man is working on Markku Alarinne's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ong tries to clinch there but Alarinne circles away.
Alarinne steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ong. A lazy left from Ong finds it's target. Ong tries to bum rush Alarinne with a series of wild strikes but Alarinne uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ong throws a lazy right hand but Alarinne sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ong lunges at Alarinne with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Alarinne's hand. Good exchange - Ong coming out on top. Ong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alarinne circles away quickly and effectively. Alarinne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Alarinne connects with a high kick. Alarinne fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ong sprawls well initially but Alarinne persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ong is looking to improve his position.
Alarinne is looking for a kimura here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alarinne is nestled in close to Ong, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ong tries to roll over but Alarinne keeps him under control. Alarinne is looking to stall here but Ong recovers full guard. Alarinne prevents Ong from getting back to his feet. Ong looking to hit a scissor sweep but Alarinne is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ong is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Alarinne wants to pass the guard but Ong is keeping the position. Ong wants to stand up but Alarinne is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ong scores with a takedown into Alarinne's guard. Ong being controlled here momentarily. Alarinne not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ong trying to control the position from guard on top but Alarinne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ong slips nicely into half guard. Alarinne moves into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alarinne looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Alarinne wants to get back to his feet but Ong is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Alarinne keeping moving, preventing Ong from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Alarinne is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ong trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ong preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Ming Ong will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Markku Alarinne's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Ong misses with a few strikes there.
Ong is looking to clinch. Ong looks for a takedown but Alarinne sprawls well. Alarinne throws a hook to the side of Ong's head but Ong sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ong scores with a hook to the body. Alarinne takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Alarinne takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Alarinne takes one on the button. Ong scores with a crisp jab that stopped Alarinne in his tracks. Ong tries to close the distance and clinch but Alarinne swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ong lands with a nice combination. Alarinne backs away looking to recover. Ong misses with a two punch combination.
Ong smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ong lands a slapping body shot.
Ong lands with an uppercut that bounces Alarinne off the ropes and back into rage. Some wild striking there from Ong.
Ong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ong changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alarinne looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ong looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ong working away. Alarinne is looking to reverse the position. Alarinne is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Alarinne is looking to improve his position.
Alarinne gets full guard. Ong throwing strikes from guard but Alarinne blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Alarinne is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Alarinne is working an open guard so Ong takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Alarinne. Ong throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ong tries to clinch there but Alarinne circles away.
Alarinne fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ming Ong seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ong misses with an uppercut. Alarinne saw that one coming. Ong has closed the distance and engaged Alarinne in a clinch.
Alarinne pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ong swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Alarinne. Ong works Alarinne's body with a nice hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alarinne slips a jab from Ong. Nice straight punches there by Ong. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ong. Ong tries to clinch up but Alarinne circles away and keeps his distance. Alarinne takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Alarinne uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ong.
Alarinne closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ong circles away. Alarinne tries to clinch but Ong is having none of it. Alarinne misses with a kick to the body.
Markku Alarinne has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ong stuffs the takedown attempt from Alarinne. Alarinne gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Markku Alarinne. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ong stalks Alarinne and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Alarinne's face. Alarinne staggers backwards, shaken. Alarinne looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Alarinne throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Ong misses with a few strikes there.
Alarinne takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ong checks the leg kick nicely there.
Ong scores with a nice right hand.
Ong closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Alarinne tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Ong wants to control but Alarinne is keeping him busy. Ong working the ground and pound. Alarinne throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Ong cracks Alarinne with a big elbow. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ong lands some shots froms side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Ming Ong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
