Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Regan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Regan pinned against the cage. Regan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nice takedown defense from Regan. No joy for Pan on that attempt. Pan leaves Regan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Regan looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Regan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pan can do anything to dispel that myth. Regan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Regan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Regan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Joe Regan. Pan with a poor takedown and Regan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pan's guard. Joe Regan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Pan. Regan is looking to work some ground and pound but Pan has wrist control. Regan forces his way into half guard. Pan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Regan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Regan content to control rather than advance. Regan missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Regan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Regan slips a nice elbow through Pan's hands, connecting with Pan's forehead.

Regan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pan for as long as he can get away with.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Joe Regan. Pan misses with a takedown and Regan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Regan. Pan looks gassed!

The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Regan is looking to work some ground and pound but Pan has wrist control. Regan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pan has his takedown stuffed and Regan counters with a takedown into side control. Sloppy strikes there by Regan. Regan slows the pace down. Joe Regan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Regan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Regan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Regan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Pan is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Regan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Regan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Regan passes Pan's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Still in half guard, Regan seems content to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Joe Regan. Regan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Regan lands a decent elbow from side control. Regan throwing shots but missing, from side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Pan parries the strikes from Regan easily there. Regan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pan to escape.
Regan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Pan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pan is being controlled here. Regan has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Pan! Regan controlling from the full mount. Regan lands a heavy elbow. Regan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Regan lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Pan hang on? Regan controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Regan dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Pan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Peter Pan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pan throws a head kick that misses and Regan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pan won't be happy with that.
