Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Herring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bovver Meerten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herring's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I get knocked down, but I get up again!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herring misses with a few strikes there.
Herring throws a right and a left that both miss.
Frank Herring seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Meerten shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Meerten was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Meerten throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Meerten unloads with some shots from mount but Herring bucks and avoids them well.

Meerten is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Herring has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Herring!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Meerten has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Herring can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Herring with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Herring postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Herring is in close to Meerten's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Herring throws and elbow that misses. Meerten uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Herring's guard. Nice move by Meerten!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Meerten takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Herring fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Meerten tries to score a power double leg takedown but Herring sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Meerten somewhat.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Herring lands a left and a right that send Meerten crashing to the mat, dazed. Herring thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Meerten is rocked!
It looks like Bovver Meerten has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Herring connects with a superb combination that knocks Meerten out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Herring before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Meerten!
