Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between mark harpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Fox is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, mark harpe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Fox! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! harpe fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
harpe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
harpe leaves Fox with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. harpe gets a takedown into half guard. Fox tries to roll over but harpe keeps him under control. harpe lands strikes from half guard.
It looks like Steve Fox has been cut. Fox trying to hold on to harpe's head to control him but harpe postures up.
harpe is pressing down on Fox's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fox is holding on for now. Fox trying to control from the bottom.
harpe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fox with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
harpe is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. harpe stands up out of the half guard. harpe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. harpe is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fox sees it coming and defends easily. harpe sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Fox defending well though. harpe stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. harpe postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Fox to stand up. Fox tries to clinch but harpe is having none of it. harpe shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fox is trying to defend but harpe finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fox looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Fox moves into full guard.
harpe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fox on the ground. harpe showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. harpe passes Fox's left leg - he's now in half guard. harpe wants to get back to his feet.
harpe thows a huge punch but Fox dodges it nicely.
Fox tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. harpe takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. harpe wants to pass to mount but Fox is defending the position. harpe seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fox has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. harpe is working away from the top position though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. harpe scores with a takedown into Fox's guard. harpe sitting in guard here, content to control. harpe stands and steps away. Fox gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. harpe feints and as Fox raises his hands in defense, harpe changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fox doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
mark harpe dominated that round. The cut man is working on Steve Fox's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Fox takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That has opened up Steve Fox's cut even more. harpe looks to land a combination but Fox avoids it well. harpe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fox gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows harpe to score an easy takedown into full guard. harpe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. harpe's corner is telling him to maintain position. mark harpe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fox looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
harpe postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. harpe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fox swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fox is breathing heavily. harpe stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's one minute gone in the round. harpe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fox circles away quickly and effectively. harpe throws a wild combination but nothing lands. harpe throws a right and a left that both miss. harpe throws a nice looking combination but Fox bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. harpe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fox.
mark harpe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A swing and a miss from harpe. harpe shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fox is trying to defend but harpe finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fox taking some punishment here, with harpe in his half guard. harpe is controlling the pace.

Fox has hold of harpe's hands but harpe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. harpe content to control rather than advance. harpe has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. harpe connects with a nice short shot to Fox's temple.

Fox won't allow harpe to pass to mount. harpe escapes and gets back to his feet. harpe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. harpe is nestled in close to Fox, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Fox is trying to control but can't.

Steve Fox's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Steve Fox's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
