The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiss takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Kiss is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Neary III really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kiss. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kiss is breathing heavily.

Kiss drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kiss jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kiss wants to work for an arm triangle but Neary III is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kiss is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Neary III is just riding it out for now. Kiss eventually gives up the hold.

Ricky Neary III showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kiss shoots in looking for a takedown. Neary III tries to sprawl out of it but Kiss keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Neary III manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kiss jumps guard and drags Neary III to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Kiss lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Neary III!

Kiss is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Neary III has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Ricky Neary III is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Kiss won't let Neary III get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Kiss has hold of Neary III's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Neary III manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kiss has control of Neary III's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Neary III regains control of the situation pretty easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Neary III is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kiss has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Jada Kiss has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
