And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trevor Woodie!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Woodie or perhaps it was just good defense by Caldeira which made him look bad.

Caldeira clinches.
Woodie with a knee to the head.
Woodie is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Caldeira gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Woodie misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Caldeira.
Caldeira stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Woodie is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Caldeira manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Caldeira is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Woodie trying to get back to full guard but Caldeira takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Caldeira is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Woodie swats away the attempt to clinch by Caldeira.

Caldeira drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Caldeira decides to stand back up. Caldeira steps back and let's Woodie get back to his feet.
Trevor Woodie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice defenses there by Caldeira.
Caldeira is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Woodie tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Caldeira counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Caldeira wants to work for an arm triangle but Woodie is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Caldeira is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Woodie tries to get to full guard but Caldeira has control of the leg.
Caldeira content to control rather than advance.

Caldeira seems to be looking for submissions.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Caldeira in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Woodie is looking for a sweep. Caldeira is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Woodie wants to control the action here but instead Caldeira manages to pass to full mount!

Caldeira quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Caldeira but it's paid off an Woodie is forced to tap! Nice work by Caldeira.
