Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and R J MacReady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Compton comes into the arena with Fuckin' In The Bushes blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyrone Compton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, R J MacReady! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacReady misses with a body kick. MacReady throws a series of punches but Compton avoids them all with ease. MacReady avoids the body shot from Compton.

It looks like R J MacReady has been cut. Compton on the wrong end of a nice jab. Compton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Compton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
MacReady throws a lazy head kick so Compton counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Compton won't allow MacReady to get back to his feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Compton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. MacReady working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Compton. MacReady keeping moving, preventing Compton from controlling successfully. MacReady keeping full guard, as Compton tries to pass. Compton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as MacReady works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Compton tries to free his leg and advance position but MacReady is retaining full guard. MacReady tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Compton gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Compton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Compton throwing strikes from guard but MacReady blocks nicely. Compton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. MacReady looking to control.
Compton trying to control the position from guard on top but MacReady is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Compton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. MacReady is keeping the position for now. Compton passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MacReady is trying to get back to his feet. Compton fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. MacReady misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Compton clobbers MacReady with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Compton darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Compton moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A bone on bone clash there as Compton blocks the leg kick.
Compton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Compton cracks MacReady with a right hand to the side of the head.
MacReady is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from MacReady. MacReady scores with a head kick.
MacReady defending well as Compton loads up on a big left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Compton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Compton lands in his opponent's guard. Compton works over MacReady with some ground and pound from guard. Compton throws a strike but MacReady rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Compton has momentary wrist control but MacReady slips an elbow through the middle. Compton tries to land a sweep but no joy. Compton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Compton pulls MacReady in close to prevent any damage. MacReady connects with a couple of short punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Compton keeping moving, preventing MacReady from controlling successfully. MacReady is in close to Compton's body, working some short punches and elbows. MacReady working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. MacReady must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Compton looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Compton looking for a sweep. Not yet Compton, not yet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. MacReady tries to stand but Compton is controlling from the bottom. MacReady is in close to Compton's body, working some short punches and elbows. Compton will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyrone Compton dominated that round. The cut man is working on R J MacReady's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
MacReady misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Compton.
Compton throws out a token jab with nothing on it. R J MacReady seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. MacReady lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Compton circles away from the clinch attempt.

MacReady throws a right and a left that both miss. MacReady pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A nice leg kick lands there from MacReady. Compton slips a jab and a cross from MacReady.
MacReady tries to score a power double leg takedown but Compton sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten MacReady somewhat. MacReady uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Compton. MacReady connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Compton! He's out on his feet! MacReady rushes in and drops Compton with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). R J MacReady!
