Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Ewing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matti Lahti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lahti comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Blackheart kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ewing shoots in for a double leg but Lahti sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lahti tries for a takedown but Ewing circles away easily

and Ewing counters with a single leg into guard. Lahti didn't expect that.
Ewing wants to control from the top but Lahti keeps moving.
Ewing looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Lahti is trying to keep Ewing in close.
Lahti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ewing. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ken Ewing overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ewing thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Ewing is looking to take a break and control but Lahti is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lahti feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lahti lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ewing!
