Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlito Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and joe d (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montoya's entrance music is The Godfather. A fine choice. Montoya has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montoya lands a jab to the head.

He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. d content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Montoya pushes d off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Montoya stuns d with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. d closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. d is trying to work for a kimura but Montoya is defending well.

joe d showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Montoya swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Montoya misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. d trying to control but Montoya is working from the bottom. d drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Montoya manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now d has Montoya in his guard. Montoya gets to his feet - d follows without any prompting.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. d tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Montoya swivels and escapes. A head kick misses from Montoya. Nice defenses there by d. Montoya catches d with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! d fails with the takedown. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A lazy left from Montoya finds it's target.
