Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick mcgrath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens fails to land with a series of punches.
Stevens looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Stevens gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
mcgrath is looking to stand up but Stevens won't let him.
Stevens wants to improve his position but instead mcgrath has moved into half guard.
mcgrath keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. mcgrath connects with a nice short shot to Stevens's temple.
mcgrath takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
mcgrath decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Stevens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee warns Stevens that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
mcgrath looking to control and managing it successfully.
Let's hope that mcgrath has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, mcgrath cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
mcgrath is landing with some decent strikes but Stevens is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

mcgrath drops back looking for a leg! Stevens is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stevens manages to kick mcgrath off! mcgrath jumps back into Stevens's guard.

mcgrath stands and steps away. Stevens gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

mcgrath is looking to clinch but Stevens is avoiding it.

mcgrath takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

mcgrath tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stevens smiles and moves away.

mcgrath throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

mcgrath shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stevens napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
