Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Belgian Maniac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Peppers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peppers has chosen Day N Nite-Kid Cudi as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peppers blocks the body kick.

and Maniac counters with a body kick that stops Peppers in his tracks momentarily.
Maniac lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Peppers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Some bone on bone action there as Peppers checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Maniac throws a solid leg kick but Peppers takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Maniac.
Peppers connects with a good right hand that stumbles Maniac. Maniac circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Peppers lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maniac has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maniac and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Peppers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maniac but Maniac pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Maniac counters with a three punch combo that has Peppers backing up. Peppers nods at Maniac to acknowledge the strikes.

Peppers is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Maniac rather than just go for the knockout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Peppers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Maniac's guard.
Peppers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Belgian Maniac will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Peppers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Maniac circles away quickly and effectively.

Peppers fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Maniac.

Maniac keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Peppers's efforts to push away.

Maniac is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Maniac, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
