Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kieran Dalley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Carlito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kieran Dalley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Carlito!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dalley takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Dalley closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like John Carlito has been cut.
John Carlito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carlito avoids a punch combination nicely.
Carlito scores with a nice body kick.
Carlito tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dalley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Carlito lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dalley circles away quickly and effectively.
Carlito slips a straight right by Dalley.

Carlito closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carlito lands in his opponent's guard.
Carlito not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Carlito stops Dalley from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carlito seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Dalley is looking to stand up but Carlito isn't so interested in that idea.
Carlito passes into half guard.
Dalley tries to kick Carlito off but Carlito keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Carlito tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dalley knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Dalley blocking the ground and pound attempt from Carlito.
Carlito prevents Dalley from standing back up.
Carlito wants to free his trapped foot but Dalley is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dalley misses the jab.

Carlito is looking to clinch but Dalley is avoiding it.
Carlito fails with the takedown.
Carlito fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dalley misses with a double jab.
Dalley stuffs the takedown attempt from Carlito. Carlito gets slowly back to his feet.
Carlito looks gassed!
Carlito tries to clinch but Dalley is having none of it.
Carlito takes one to the side of the head.
Dalley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Dalley takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A big left from Dalley misses.
Carlito looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dalley is fending him off so far but Carlito persists. Nope, Dalley circles away and we're back to standing.
Kieran Dalley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Carlito.
Carlito scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Dalley throws a jab but it's blocked by Carlito.
Carlito slips a straight right by Dalley.
Kieran Dalley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dalley throws a combination that misses

and Carlito counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dalley's guard now.
Dalley is looking to stand up but Carlito isn't so interested in that idea.

Dalley pushes Carlito off and scrambles back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but John Carlito will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on John Carlito's cut.
That's time! Dalley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Dalley swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Carlito.
Dalley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dalley waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Carlito.
Dalley chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Carlito can pounce on him.
Dalley lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Carlito throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dalley was covering up waiting for the punch and Carlito finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Carlito stops Dalley from standing up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Carlito trying to control but Dalley is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Carlito slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Carlito decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dalley jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Carlito fails to land the takedown.
Dalley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Carlito counters by clinching up.

Dalley breaks the clinch.
Dalley lands a jab-cross combination.
Dalley connects with a nice looking jab.

Carlito closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dalley did well to prevent Carlito getting side control.

Dalley manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Carlito is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dalley's half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dalley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carlito on the ground.

Carlito seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Carlito avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Carlito fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dalley sprawls well initially but Carlito persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
John Carlito has got the better of the ground game so far.
Carlito throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Carlito seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dalley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Dalley is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Carlito showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Dalley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dalley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carlito circles away quickly and effectively.
Kieran Dalley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Carlito shoots in but Dalley avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dalley cracks Carlito with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Carlito uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dalley.
Carlito bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dalley lands with a straight right. Carlito didn't see that one coming.

Dalley is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Carlito misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dalley.

Dalley throws a hook but Carlito avoids it easily.

The fighters circling - Carlito throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Carlito is looking to take a break and control but Dalley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dalley wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

John Carlito is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Carlito is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Dalley's shoulder. That is not cool.
