Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caine Paine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Caine Paine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Jones!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paine scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Paine throwing strikes but Jones manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Paine can't do much from the bottom here.
Paine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Paine is trying to get back to half guard.
Jones wants to stand but Paine is controlling his arm.
Jones trying to control the action but Paine is working from the bottom.

Jones is trying to get an arm triangle but Paine is defending well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jones.

Paine shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Paine is one step ahead there.
Paine throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Paine looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jones puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones wants to take a breather but Paine is having none of it.
Jones tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Jones is thwarting Paine's attempts to control the position.

Jones tries to land a front kick but Paine steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

James Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Jones throws the kick towards the body but Paine avoids it.
Paine shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones is looking to chop away at Paine's legs.
Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Paine.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones won't allow Paine to pass to mount.

Paine throws a strike but Jones avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are battling for position here. Jones manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Caine Paine will probably get the nod.

Paine cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Paine postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jones looks a forlorn figure.
Paine misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jones thuds his shin into the meat of Paine's side.
Jones throws a wild body kick that Paine sees coming a mile off.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Jones.
Jones throws the kick towards the body but Paine avoids it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones is looking to score with low kicks.
Jones dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Paine. That did some damage!
Paine has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jones.

And that's the end of the fight!
Caine Paine showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Paine has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
