Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Burke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Burke!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burke shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Garcia defends it nicely.

Burke fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Garcia avoids it really well and circles away.
Garcia throws a jab when Burke was well out of range.
Garcia leaves Burke with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Garcia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Burke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Garcia is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Garcia tries to score a body lock takedown but Burke shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Burke is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Garcia can't fight it off and eventually Burke manages to take the fight to the floor. Garcia looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Burke drops back, looking for a kneebar! Garcia looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Garcia looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Garcia!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Burke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garcia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Garcia misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Garcia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Garcia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

I've got Burke winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
