Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cage Gyles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bas Yardin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bas Yardin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cage Gyles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bas Yardin!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gyles doesn't manage to clinch there - Yardin circles away.
Gyles tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yardin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gyles moves in looking to clinch but Yardin pushes him off.

Yardin has Gyles up against the cage in a clinch.

Gyles is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yardin is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gyles to the mat. Gyles regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Yardin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gyles can't keep his opponent in guard - Yardin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Yardin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Gyles trying to hold on to Yardin's head to control him but Yardin postures up.
Gyles is looking to improve his position.
Yardin uses his free foot to push down on Gyles's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gyles.
Gyles keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Yardin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gyles is on top in guard.

Gyles stands up and waves to Yardin to follow him.

Gyles misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Yardin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Yardin looks gassed!
Gyles is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Yardin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Yardin's back!
Yardin tries to escape the position.

Gyles is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Yardin knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Yardin for a finish.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gyles is trying to stick to Yardin's back but Yardin is turning into Gyles. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Gyles's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Yardin.
Yardin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gyles swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Yardin clinches up with Gyles and pushes him back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gyles tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Yardin turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Yardin is putting a hurting on Gyles here, landing some big shots from side control.
Yardin advances nicely into full mount.

Gyles is trying to escape the mount but Yardin keeps good control and instead manages to take Gyles's back.
Oh Gyles is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Yardin is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Gyles defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Gyles seems to have got his legs back now.
Gyles tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Yardin lands a big elbow - Gyles is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Gyles is forced to tap out!
