1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlos Santiago! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lok shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lok thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Santiago is looking to stand up but Lok isn't so interested in that idea. Lok trying to control the position from guard on top but Santiago is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Santiago wants to get back to his feet but Lok passes into half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. No joy there for Santiago, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Lok is really struggling to control Santiago but he's trying to hold on to the position. Lok is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Santiago is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Santiago throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lok. Lok tries for a takedown but Santiago sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Santiago gets underhooks to prevent Lok's takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Santiago looks to land a combination but Lok avoids it well. No joy there for Santiago, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Carlos Santiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lok throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Santiago was covering up waiting for the punch and Lok finishes the takedown easily into guard. Lok wants to control from the top but Santiago keeps moving. Santiago is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lok is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Santiago tries to bum rush Lok with a series of wild strikes but Lok uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lok lets loose with a powerful body kick. Santiago will feel that in the morning. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santiago throws a looping overhand right but Lok ducks down to avoid it. Lok shoots in for a takedown but Santiago shows good takedown defense. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lok shoots for a double leg takedown but Santiago sprawls well. He's pushed Lok's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Lok!

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lok passes easily into side control. Nice work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Santiago scores with a body shot.
Santiago lands with a nice body punch. Lok tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Santiago looks to land a combination but Lok avoids it well. Santiago misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Carlos Santiago is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Santiago throws a right and a left that both miss. Lok throws a sloppy head kick and Santiago moves out of range easily. Santiago jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Santiago moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Lok dives in and grabs Santiago's left leg, looking for a takedown. Santiago pushes down on Lok's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Up Lok. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Santiago throws a right hand that Lok ducks under and follows up with a left that Lok also avoids with ease. Lok motions for Santiago to come forward. Lok throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Santiago throws a series of punches but Lok moves out of range. Lok takes the fight into the clinch. Lok's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Santiago misses with a series of wild punches.
Santiago throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lok. Santiago stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Santiago wants it to stay on the feet. Santiago throws a nice looking combination but Lok bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Santiago leaves Lok with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Santiago scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lok in his tracks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Up Lok will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Lok tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Lok shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lok was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Santiago is trying to stand. Santiago is squirming around, avoiding Lok's attempts to control the action. Lok controlling from the full mount.

Lok controlling the position easily from mount. Lok sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Lok content just to control the position here. Santiago's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Santiago can do anything to dispel that myth. Santiago in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Santiago tries to buck Lok off but he can't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lok controlling the position easily from mount. Lok looking to control but Santiago is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lok throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Santiago is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lok wants to control the pace but Santiago is squirming around nicely. Carlos Santiago has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Up Lok is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Santiago wants to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Up Lok showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lok, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
