Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Vasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuo Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Vasa has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Vasa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tetsuo Chiba! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasa avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Vasa darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Vasa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chiba does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Chiba is defending against the submission attempts here by Vasa.
Vasa is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chiba keeps working. Vasa decides to stand and escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Vasa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chiba to the mat! Chiba manages to get full guard. Vasa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Vasa decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Chiba misses the shot to the body. Vasa fails with a takedown attempt. Vasa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chiba sprawls well. Chiba wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vasa gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chiba keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Vasa. Vasa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chiba but Chiba pushes him off and we're back to square one. Chiba stuffs the takedown. Chiba throws a series of punches but Vasa avoids them all with ease. Chiba works the jab nicely. Vasa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chiba tries to avoid it but Vasa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chiba to the ground. Chiba escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Vasa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vasa wants to clinch. Vasa looks for a takedown but Chiba sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasa misses with a takedown attempt - Chiba sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Vasa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chiba tries to avoid it but Vasa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chiba to the ground. Chiba escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Vasa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Vasa thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Chiba is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Chiba is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chiba holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Vasa tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Vasa controlling the pace for now. Vasa trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tetsuo Chiba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action!
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Chiba misses with an uppercut. Vasa throws a sloppy head kick and Chiba moves out of range easily. Chiba misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vasa.
No luck for Vasa with that takedown attempt. A big left from Chiba misses. Chiba connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Vasa slips a straight right by Chiba. Nick Vasa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chiba blocks the body kick.
Vasa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chiba avoids it really well and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chiba misses with an uppercut. Vasa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Vasa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chiba tests Vasa's chin there with a solid looking shot. Chiba throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vasa sees it coming and avoids it easily. Chiba misses the jab. No luck for Vasa with that takedown attempt. Chiba swats away the attempt to clinch by Vasa.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chiba looks to score with a jab to the body but Vasa is just out of range. Vasa moves in looking to clinch but Chiba pushes him off. Vasa fails to land the takedown. Chiba swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Danga de danga de dang - Chiba scores with a four punch combination! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chiba throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Vasa fails to land the takedown. Vasa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tetsuo Chiba really dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Nick Vasa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Vasa walks into a left hand. Vasa looks for a takedown but Chiba sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Vasa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chiba misses with a looping left. Chiba sends Vasa crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Chiba is motioning to the referee to let Vasa up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Nick Vasa has been cut. Chiba lands with a hook. Vasa tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Vasa is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chiba stuffs the takedown.

He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Oh Vasa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Vasa avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vasa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chiba sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Vasa seems to have got his legs back now. Chiba keeps the fight on the outside. Chiba throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tetsuo Chiba seems to be getting the better of the standup. Chiba drops Vasa with a beautiful combination! Vasa stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Chiba is looking for the KO! Vasa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Chiba thows a body shot but no joy. No luck for Vasa with that takedown attempt. Tetsuo Chiba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chiba throws a jab when Vasa was well out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasa steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chiba. Vasa shoots for a double leg takedown but Chiba sprawls well. He's pushed Vasa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Vasa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Chiba throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chiba throws the left hand but Vasa avoids the punch easily. Chiba fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vasa on the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vasa fails with the takedown. Vasa shoots for a takedown but Chiba saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vasa blocks a jab. Vasa shoots in but no luck this time. Chiba looks to land a left hand but Vasa moved out of range nicely. Chiba looks to land a left hand but Vasa moved out of range nicely. Chiba scores with a jab to the body. Chiba throws a looping overhand right but Vasa ducks down to avoid it. Vasa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chiba defends it nicely. Chiba takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Vasa slips a jab from Chiba.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Vasa or perhaps it was just good defense by Chiba which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Vasa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chiba cracks Vasa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Chiba lands the left hand. Chiba tests Vasa's chin there with a solid looking shot. Chiba might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Vasa moves out of range as Chiba strikes. Chiba lands a big uppercut and Vasa crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Vasa looks OK. Chiba waves Vasa back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chiba sends Vasa crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Chiba is motioning to the referee to let Vasa up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! BOOM! Chiba lands a beautiful left hook that drops Vasa. Vasa tries to recover but Chiba is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Vasa lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
