Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between jack matador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, jack matador!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Anderson Silva!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. matador manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
matador keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Silva stops matador from standing up.
matador controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.
matador looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Silva trying to control but matador is working from the bottom.

Silva is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
matador rushes Silva and presses him up against the ropes.
Silva has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Silva tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. matador just stands there and leans against the ropes.

matador is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
matador has Silva pulled in close to control his posture.

Silva moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Silva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. matador was covering up waiting for the punch and Silva finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
matador pulls Silva in close to prevent any damage.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
matador blocks a head kick by Silva.
jack matador is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
matador looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
matador working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
matador stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
matador trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Anderson Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The ground and pound from Silva seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
matador is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Silva wants to take a breather but matador is having none of it.
matador looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
matador regains full guard. Nicely done.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Silva would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
matador will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

matador is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Silva frees his head nicely. Oh but matador has switched to an armbar! Silva is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
