The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Putin as he jumps to the side.
Putin slips a jab and a cross from Bang.
Bang throws a left that rocks Putin and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Bang dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Putin regain composure!
Putin is rocked!
It looks like Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bang decides to stand up, so the ref orders Putin to his feet.
Putin is still on wobbly legs! Can Bang finish him?
Stand Bang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bang rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Putin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Putin seems to have recovered his senses.
Bang displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Putin.
Putin leaves Bang with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Putin lands a big head kick that sends Bang to the canvas! Putin follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
