Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dante Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vera has chosen Romper Stomper as his entrance music. Vera has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Dominic Vera has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dante Cross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dominic Vera!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera closes the distance and clinches.
Cross looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Vera manages to break the clinch.
Vera throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Vera throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Vera with a jab.
Cross gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Cross takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vera lands a left and a right that send Cross crashing to the mat, dazed. Vera thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Cross is rocked!
It looks like Dante Cross has been cut.
Vera cracks Cross with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Cross tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Vera pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Cross is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dominic Vera!
