PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladamir Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Aguilar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drago kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Id Hate To Be You Right Now. Vladamir Drago has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vladamir Drago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antonio Aguilar!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago stuffs the takedown.
Aguilar shoots in and drives through. Drago sprawls well.
Aguilar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Drago swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Aguilar counters with a single leg into guard. Drago didn't expect that.
Aguilar controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Drago is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Drago wants to sweep here but Aguilar controlling him for the moment.

Drago is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Aguilar defends well.

Drago escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aguilar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aguilar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Drago is just riding it out for now. Aguilar eventually gives up the hold.
Drago is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Aguilar's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Aguilar's back!

Aguilar just trying to survive but Drago is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Vladamir Drago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Drago stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Drago wants it to stay on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Drago got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aguilar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Drago has managed to get both his arms back between Aguilar's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Drago lands a nice knee to the body.
Drago changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Aguilar fights it off and pushes away nicely.
