Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tin Lau! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Dunn! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Lau is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lau keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lau looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Dunn pushes past his half guard into mount! Dunn connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Lau is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lau is staying active underneath Dunn, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mark Dunn has got the better of the ground game so far. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lau swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Dunn postures up and lands a big shot to Lau's brow. Lau preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lau has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dunn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lau is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dunn is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. Lau tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dunn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lau is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dunn off and has taken his back! Dunn tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Ooooh, that looks tight… Dunn is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dunn and Lau has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Very smooth. Dunn scores with a couple of short elbows. Dunn wants to control but Lau is keeping him busy. Lau is trying to improve his position.
