Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dewey Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitriy Boyko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dewey Rock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dmitriy Boyko! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyko takes the fight into the clinch. Boyko is trying to drag Rock to the mat but Rock just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Rock pushes off an throws an elbow but Boyko leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Boyko throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rocks head. Rock wants a takedown but no success here.

Rock tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Boyko just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dewey Rock. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boyko tries for a takedown. No joy.
Boyko lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Boyko lands with a light punch inside. Boyko drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rock gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Rock wants the takedown. Boyko is fighting it off but Rock persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Boyko's guard against the cage. Boyko looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Rock tries to stand but Boyko is controlling from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rock wants to control from the top but Boyko keeps moving. Boyko is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Rock postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rock throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Boyko was covering up waiting for the punch and Rock finishes the takedown easily into guard. Boyko is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rock defends well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyko pulls Rock in close to his closed guard and prevents Rock from doing any damage or advancing position. Boyko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rock gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Dewey Rock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rock shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Rock throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Boyko tries to hold on but Rock pushes him away. Boyko looks gassed! Rock punching from mount but Boyko doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rock looking to control but Boyko is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Rock avoids the attempt from Boyko to control. Rock is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Boyko has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Boyko! Boyko stops Rock from standing up. Rock looking for a guillotine here but Boyko defends easily.
Rock can't keep his opponent in guard - Boyko advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dewey Rock dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rock tries to clinch but Boyko moves away and Boyko counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Boyko. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rock has his foot on Boyko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boyko works his way back into a safe position though. Boyko is stalling in the full guard. Rock is looking to stand back up but Boyko counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Rock. Still in half guard, Boyko seems content to control. Rock is staying active underneath Boyko, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Well, if Boyko is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Rock wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Boyko is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Rock is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
