Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between ben cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Lavin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). cook kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
cook shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
cook throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lavin's waist but Lavin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing cook off to one side.
cook shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lavin napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Lavin tries to bench press cook off him but cook keeps the position.
cook works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
cook has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
cook tries for a kimura but Lavin is defending well.
Lavin manages to get back to half guard.
Lavin is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! cook is tapping! Great win for Lavin!
