Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Huang Di (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Graves has chosen I Want War by Pastor Troy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Huang Di! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, James Graves! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Di avoids the head kick by Graves.
Di uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Graves.
Di has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Di there as he acknowledges the shot. Graves scores with a head kick.

Di tries to clinch but Graves is having none of it. Di checks a leg kick. Graves has taken the fight to the clinch.
Graves goes for a takedown in the clinch but Di prevents it.
Di comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like James Graves has been cut. Di lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Graves trying to control the action but Di is working from the bottom. Graves thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Graves seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Di does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Graves is looking to advance position but Di won't allow it. Graves wants to lay and pray for a moment but Di keeps working. Graves is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Di is just riding it out for now. Graves eventually gives up the hold. Graves trying to mount his opponent but Di defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Graves throws the kick towards the body but Di avoids it. Graves throws a sloppy head kick and Di moves out of range easily. Graves throws a leg kick but Di checks it. Di throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A cross from Graves lands. Graves closes the distance and clinches up with Di, looking for a takedown. Graves pushes Di against the cage but Di circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Huang Di has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Graves. Graves tests Di's chin there with a solid looking shot. Graves takes a swing at Di's ribcage but misses. Graves jabs at Di's body. Di darts in trying to clinch and Graves counters with a three punch combo that has Di backing up. Di nods at Graves to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Graves connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Di momentarily.

Di keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Di checks a leg kick. Graves shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Di but Di pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Di tries to clinch up and Graves counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Di moves in looking to clinch but Graves pushes him off. Graves throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Graves cracks Di with a good jab. A good leg kick by Di. Di tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Graves paws at him with a jab and circles away. Di avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Di tries to clinch and Graves counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Di tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Graves counters with a thumping low kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Graves tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Di is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Di wants to clinch but Graves slips to the side and Graves counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Di thinking. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Graves dominated that round. The cut man is working on James Graves's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Di clinches up against the cage. Graves takes an elbow to the temple. Graves tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Graves breaks from the clinch.
Di clinches but Graves breaks the clinch and Graves makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Graves takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Graves throws a series of punches but Di avoids them all with ease. Graves swats away the attempt to clinch by Di. Graves connects with a solid leg kick. Graves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Di moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Di doesn't manage to clinch there - Graves circles away.
Di wants to clinch but Graves slips to the side and Graves counters by moving into the clinch. Di tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Graves looks to throw an elbow but misses. Graves is trying to break the clinch but Di is controlling him. Graves breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Graves tests Di's chin there with a solid looking shot. Di closes the distance looking to clinch and Graves makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Graves has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Di tries to clinch up and Graves counters with a low kick, right behind Di 's knee. Di is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Graves is looking to chop away at Di's legs. Graves clinches with his opponent.
Graves tries to stall but Di uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Graves's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Graves throws a leg kick and Di counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Di. Di misses with a knee to the head. Graves has clasped his hands together around Di's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Graves landing strikes. Graves working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Graves tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Graves is looking to take a break and control but Di is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Graves goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Di has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Graves but great work by Di. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Graves wants to control but Di postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Di tries to stand but Graves is controlling his head. Graves is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Graves tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Di presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Graves is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Graves is looking to get to half guard. Graves tries to hold on but Di postures up. Graves is looking to improve his position but Di isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Di tries to control but Graves wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Graves showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on James Graves's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

An inside leg kick lands from Di. Graves throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Di wants to clinch up but Graves keeps it at a distance. James Graves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Graves, as that shot connected.

Graves keeps the fight on the outside. Graves throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Di tries to clinch up and Graves counters with a straight right hand. Di is looking to take this fight into the clinch. James Graves seems to be getting the better of the standup. Di lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Graves wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Di takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Graves trying to land knees to the body.

Graves obviously looking to wear him down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Graves thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Di if he has to take too many more of those.

Graves is trying hard to land a takedown here. Di sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Huang Di has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Graves. Graves changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Di gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Graves to score an easy takedown into full guard. Graves trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Graves postures up in Di's guard and throws a big left but Di blocks it. Graves wants to control from the top but Di keeps moving. Graves throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Di works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Graves throws a big right hand that misses. Graves slips nicely into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! James Graves comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Graves winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
