Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Mcallister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Stonehouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stonehouse comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Invaders Must Die kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonny Mcallister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Paul Stonehouse!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcallister goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Mcallister throws a head kick but Stonehouse moves out of range.
Mcallister takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Mcallister pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stonehouse tries a head kick but it misses.
Mcallister tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mcallister throws a sloppy head kick

and Stonehouse counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Stonehouse.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stonehouse is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Stonehouse is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Stonehouse has hold of Mcallister's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mcallister manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Stonehouse has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Paul Stonehouse just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mcallister thumps Stonehouse with a low kick.
Stonehouse takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mcallister tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jonny Mcallister will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Mcallister thows a body shot but no joy.
Stonehouse is looking to clinch but Mcallister is avoiding it.
Mcallister tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Stonehouse closes the distance and pushes Mcallister back into the cage.
Stonehouse tries to pull guard but Mcallister won't allow it.
Stonehouse stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Mcallister is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Stonehouse decides to pull guard.
Stonehouse bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcallister's guard.

Stonehouse wants to pass the guard but Mcallister is defending well.

Well, if Stonehouse is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Stonehouse passes to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcallister seems a little lost for a moment, as Stonehouse dominates the positioning.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Paul Stonehouse.
Mcallister misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Stonehouse counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Stonehouse lands a good knee to the midsection. Mcallister won't want to take too many of those.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Paul Stonehouse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Stonehouse has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mcallister is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Stonehouse tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mcallister avoids it.

Stonehouse keeps control of Mcallister as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Stonehouse has Mcallister pressed against the cage.

Stonehouse has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mcallister avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Stonehouse is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mcallister gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Stonehouse is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mcallister is defending well for now.
Mcallister wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stonehouse is pushing Mcallister up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Stonehouse has Mcallister pressed against the cage, preventing Mcallister from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Mcallister tries to circle away but Stonehouse has him pinned against the cage.

Stonehouse jumps guard and drags Mcallister to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Mcallister is looking to stand up but Stonehouse won't let him.
